High-end chemicals and new materials

Yankuang Energy has four high-end chemicals and new materials industrial parks in Shandong, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang. It has built a coal chemical product portfolio covering more than 20 varieties including methanol, acetic acid, ethylene glycol, polyoxymethylene, caprolactam, DMMn and coal‑to‑liquids, etc. Specifically, methanol sales volume reached 4.33 million tons, ranking first in China; coal‑to‑liquids production capacity stands at 1 million tons, among the nation’s top tier; acetic acid capacity totals 1 million tons, ranking fifth nationwide; and polyoxymethylene capacity hits 80,000 tons, firmly securing the fourth position domestically.

Yankuang Energy focuses on the development direction of high-end, fine and low-carbon. It owns several complete coal chemical production lines by use of coal gasification and coal liquefaction, and the China first 1Mt/a coal indirect liquefaction demonstration unit. Caprolactam has entered the high-speed spinning field in the polyester industry. Polyoxymethylene products have ranked among the top domestic products. Refined fischer-tropsch wax at 115℃ has successfully entered the international high-end market, breaking the foreign monopoly.

Established in 2007, Lunan Chemicals Industrial Park is located in Tengzhou City, Shandong Province. There are dozens of types of products, such as acetic acid, ethyl acetate, polyformaldehyde, caprolactam, and urea with an annual production capacity of 4.9 million tons. A number of its specification have been recognized as national standards. Remarkably, acetic acid, ethyl acetate and polyformaldehyde are recognized as Famous brand products in Shandong.

Established in 2004, Yulin Neng Hua is located in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. The total annual production capacity of the methanol plant is 1.4 million tons. The annual production capacity of the DMMn plant is 0.1 million tons.

Established in 2008, Rongxin Chemicals is located in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The total production capacity is 2.2 million tons per year, mainly produced 1.8 million tons of methanol and 0.4 tons of ethylene glycol per year. An 0.8 million ton/year olefin project is under construction.

Established in 2011, Future Energy is located in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is the only China’s enterprise that masters both high and low temperature FT synthesis technologies. The Company operates a 1 million-ton/year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration plant and a 100,000-ton/year high-temperature FT synthesis industrial demonstration plant. The millions-of-tons coal indirect liquefaction demonstration project is an important coal clean and efficient utilization project during the national “12th Five-Year Plan”. It has the largest coal indirect liquefaction demonstration single unit in China, with main products of full range liquid paraffin, naphtha, etc.

Xinjiang Neng Hua is located in Urumqi, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, has a 600,000-ton alcohol and ammonia co-production project, with an annual production of 300,000 tons of methanol and 520,000 tons of urea. The 800,000-ton/year coal-to-olefins project in Wucaiwan, Changji Prefecture, is being constructed to serve as a supporting conversion project for the No. 4 Open-pit Mine.
